Design services and studio policies
These Terms govern landscape design services provided by Gleann Gardens ("we") to clients ("you") for city garden redesigns, courtyard gravel gardens, hedge screen planting, site walks and design consultancy in Cork, Ireland.
Projects are confirmed by email reply with agreed scope and fee. Site walks (€140) are booked by appointment and require access to the property. Full design packages require a signed proposal and deposit before work begins.
Prices are listed on our pricing page. Final charges depend on plot size, complexity and revision requirements. A 50% deposit is required for full design packages; the balance is due on delivery of final plans. Design consultancy is billed at €110/h with a minimum of 2 hours. We accept bank transfer and common card payment methods.
Site walks cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may be charged in full. Full design projects cancelled after work has commenced are charged for work completed to date plus any non-recoverable costs. Deposits are non-refundable once design work has started.
We deliver layout plans, planting schedules, and surface specifications in PDF format. Construction and planting are not included unless separately agreed. Plans are for the specified property and client; redistribution to third parties requires written permission.
Full design packages include two revision rounds as stated in the proposal. Additional revisions are charged at €110/h. Revision requests must be submitted within 30 days of draft delivery.
Clients must ensure safe access to the property for site walks and follow-up visits. We are not liable for pre-existing hazards undisclosed at the time of visit. Weather-related rescheduling is offered without penalty when Cork Met Éireann warnings advise against outdoor work.
We can coordinate with contractors at €110/h but are not responsible for construction quality, planting survival, or contractor schedules. Planting recommendations assume normal Irish climate conditions; extreme weather events are outside our control.
We may photograph completed projects for portfolio use unless you opt out in writing. Personal photography during site visits is welcome with respect for neighbouring properties.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service except where Irish consumer law provides otherwise. We are not liable for indirect loss such as contractor delays or plant failure due to factors outside our design scope.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes may be brought before the competent courts in Cork or your local jurisdiction if you qualify as a consumer under EU law.
